First Few Days in Huntsville

Hello, all!

Everything in Huntsville is going great so far. I’ve been staying very busy!

I was able to settle into my apartment over the weekend, and I’m very happy with the location. It’s about ten minutes from work and nestled right in the mountains. My complex has a small walking trail that I explored one morning. It was pretty steep! Everything is going to look great once the trees start getting their leaves back.

I’ve been to two hockey games so far. Who knew there was so much fighting in hockey? Unfortunately, our team isn’t the best at scoring. Even though we normally lose, it’s still a fun experience. The company has a stadium box with free drinks (soda/beer) and snacks, so a lot of people come out to enjoy the games. The season will be wrapping up at the end of this week.

My first few days of work have gone by quickly, as I’ve been quite busy! Monday we had pasta and salad. Tuesday was carribean food and today was Panera bread (no soups, just sandwiches and salads).

My furniture arrived yesterday morning, and I’m glad to have a bed again!

I’m really enjoying Huntsville. The area around my apartment has a lot of shopping, and I’m right by Monte Sano State Park.
