Yesterday, I received my costumes and learned about the area of the park where I'll be working. The area highlighted yellow on the above map shows the main shops where I'll be located. These include: a confectionery, a fine art gallery, a jewelry shop, a hat shop, and a small Disney boutique. I could also work on one of the many outside carts located anywhere on East Main Street.
I was also introduced to Pin Trading. Though I was familiar with the concept before yesterday, I had no idea how popular the activity truly was. At the beginning of my shift, I had been given 12 pins to wear on a lanyard. By the end of the day, I had been stopped by guests over fifty times so they could see if I had any pins worth trading for!
